I tried a recipe tonight that was suppose to be a sloppy joe tot casserole, didnt have all the ingredients, and actually wouldn’t have even ate some of them, so I re-wrote the recipe into what I would like and now call it Pizza Tot Casserole. Here is my recipe:

32 oz. bag tater tots

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

1 onion finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz. pizza sauce (can add more if you like it saucier)

1/4 c. water

1 tsp. salt

2 c. mozzarella cheese

Onion Powder (to your taste, I did a couple sprinkles around pan)

Garlic powder (to your taste)

Garlic salt (just a few dashes)

Parmesan cheese (Sprinkles all over top layer) 

* Arrange Tater tots in a single layer in a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. bake at 425 degrees for 12 mins. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown beef with onion and garlic; drain. Add remaining ingredients except cheese; mix well. Pour beef mixture over hot tater tots, sprinkle with mozarella cheese, and then sprinkle the whole top with parmesan cheese. Bake an additional 15 mins. or until mixture is hot and cheese is melted.


Serve with garlic bread and a salad….
